MAY MINERAL: ADAMITE

Adamite, Ojuela Mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico, our May 2008 featured mineral. This Platinum level piece is about 3.25" across and 2" high and sold for $70.

Our volume buying power (we buy at least 600 pieces of each Club-featured mineral) often means we can obtain especially nice specimens at lower than average prices, and we pass the savings on to Club members.

This is how our Platinum level works: We E-mail or call each Platinum member each month with details about the featured mineral specimen's size, crystal quality, matrix, etc., and price. For those whom we contact via E-mail, we always include a photo of a typical specimen at the bottom of the E-mail. Then you can let us know whether to send you a specimen or not. Once you receive it, if for any reason they are not happy with it, you can box it right back up and send it back, for full credit, less shipping.

Most Platinum-size specimens will be in the $30--$100 price range, with the option to purchase a larger/better piece for more, depending on the size/quality/rarity/newness of the find of the monthly mineral. Some Platinum Club members have indicated to us a size range and/or price range they would prefer each month, and we are happy to work with them on it.

Platinum members always have the option of obtaining a regular Gold-level or Silver-level specimen at the regular price, or of passing on that month's mineral. Of course, all Platinum members get the same write-up, newsletter, etc., as other members, even in months when they pass on the specimen.
